Cindy's Piano Studio welcomes Quinn to the Bemus Point studio this year. Quinn is nine years old. She said she wants to take piano lessons because it seems really, really fun! I hope that it remains really, really fun for her during her whole life. Quinn has a Yamaha 88-key, touch sensitive keyboard at home with a metronome even!
Quinn likes to play soccer, tennis, and do horseback riding also. She is in the fourth grade.
Welcome, Quinn!
What is happening in Cindy's Piano Studio. I've been teaching for over 30 years and still love it.

Jamestown Association of Piano Teachers Recital at Lutheran Home
Stephanie Derkovitz played Love Somebody.
Maddison March played Old MacDonald Had a Band.
Harper Dawes played Gallop, Pony and Scotland Bells.
Lizzy Quadt played Go Tell Aunt Rhodie Theme and Variation.
Sydney Segrue played Arabesque by Burgmuller.
Our mystery student played Sea (C) Song.
Sophia Segrue played Taxi Tangle.
Eliza Dawes played Japaneze Garden and Jazz Jig.
Sarah Quadt played Beach Party and Pumpkin Boogie.
It was a short program as half the pieces were less than 30 seconds in length! It was such a pretty sunny day too. All the students received a certificate of participation at the end. Here's Sophie's...
Today's participating students live in Chautauqua County, mostly in the Bemus Point area, some in Lakewood and Ashville; none from Jamestown today.

Do you like taking piano lessons?
I like asking my students if they like taking piano lessons and why. I recently asked the older beginners class of three girls aged 9-12. They said because the class is fun. They like being in a group of friends. They like the songs we are learning. And one said that it helps her to play video games and learn typing.
Fun answers and made me feel like I was doing something worthwhile!

Summer is Coming to a Close
It's August 1st already! Summer is almost over and it's time to think about scheduling piano lessons. My hope this year is to have private students at my home in Lakewood on Monday and Tuesday and classes at the Bemus Point studio. I'll be calling everyone the last week of August or first week in September to arrange lesson times.
