"X"s First Music Art

"X" has drawn some stick people for us. One of these has a craazy hair doo!

His quarter note and half note people have formed their own family. I wonder if they are musicians?

"E" and I play O When the Saints

She is getting "goooood".  I love playing duets with my piano students. They don't always enjoy playing with me on video, but they still do it!

"E" plays Locomotive Rhythms

"E" is learning to read bass clef notes on the staff. However, for the duet, Locomotive Rhythms, she had to move up and read the notes in a different place. Great job!

"E" plays Ode to Joy

"E" played Ode to Joy at her lesson and we want to share it with you.  She is making great progress at learning to play piano. Her lessons are a joy for me to teach.

"A" First Video

About two weeks ago "A" asked me if she could learn to play Happy Birthday for her brother. She only had taken six or so piano lessons and I wasn't too confident that this would happen. However I was willing to give her a go at it. I gave her Happy Birthday with finger numbers only and showed her where to put her hands. It's amazing what someone can do when they are motivated! She did well don't you think?

"E"'s Whole Note Music Art

"E" is at it again! She drew a whole note picture for you. Do you see the whole notes? They look like circles.

"G" Taxi Tangle

I love how "G" is playing piano with an accompaniment from the very beginning of learning piano. She has a good sense of rhythm and obviously is enjoying herself! I am too!

Congratulations to "T" on her first piano lesson piece recording. This one is called Batter UP! and I was allowed to play a duet with her too! Nice job, "T"!
