"A" Plays Brahm's Hungarian Dance as a Duet with me!

Not sure Brahm's had this in mind when he composed Hungarian Dance but I like it. I enjoy playing duets with my students. "A" did well. Even with mistakes, she kept going. Great job, "A"!

 

Some More Music Art from "X"

"X" drew some more half note pictures for us. One has a girl trapped inside a balloon. One is Alfalfa from Little Rascles and one is sleeping. Great job "X"!

 

"E" Natural Sign Music Art

It's been awhile since we've seen music art from "E" but that doesn't mean she isn't learning to play and read music at the piano. She is doing an excellent job. Here's her latest lesson learned about natural signs.

Her picture shows a room with wallpaper. In the room is a bed inside the play house. The ladder has the natural signs, The toy box at the top right has a "wonky" natural sign. In the middle left is a sitting area to relax and maybe talk or read a book. Across from that is a ball pit to play and jump around when you are tired of sitting. On the bottom left is a computer station and next to that is a TV/game station. Wow! What a wonderful room to be in with the natural signs.

"X" First Recorded Piano Duet

"X" learned that he needs to say something while he plays. It helps to stay focused and we can play together. He played Merrily We Roll Along with me.

Cindy's Piano Studio welcomes "X" to piano lessons in Clinton, MO!

"X" is in second grade and likes to play basketball and hunt. He told me that he wants to take piano lessons because he thinks they will be fun (He's right!) and that it will help him in math and science. I think he had a little help with that answer from someone in the family!

"X" also likes to watch Duck Dynasty Brothers in his fun time. 

I'm looking forward to seeing how far he will go in learning music at the piano. Stayed tuned here to see his music art and playing videos.

"C" joined Cindy's Piano Studio in Clinton, MO on October 4, 2023. She also plays clarinet. She says that she has always liked piano and finds it to be an interesting instrument. Her favorite subject in school is science and her hobbies are cooking, baking, and singing Taylor Swift songs. Maybe soon she will be able to accompany herself while she plays. It's been a while since we've seen and heard "H" play. Here she is playing a duet with Mrs. Robison called Russian Folk Dance. Yea!

 This is creative! "A" is learning about eighth note pairs. The piano legs form the eighth notes. Good job, "A"!

"E"s Whole Rest Music Art

"E" created a music art story picture for us this week. 

The setting is the kitchen. Notice the cupboards, stove top, and ovens below? The Whole Rest is disguised as a pot on the stove. The cake and pie are in the oven. However, no one is watching over them! So what happens? FIRE! Everywhere. Hmmm...is this an actual story?

 

"E" Half Rest Music Art

"E" is learning about half rests. She drew this wonderful picture of a man (see the mustache?) sitting at the grand piano (note the arched lid top?) with a top hat (half rest) that almost reaches the light that is shining down on the stage. There are stage curtains and a tiled floor. Very creative!

"E" played Ode to Joy at her lesson and we want to share it with you.  She is making great progress at learning to play piano. Her lessons are a joy for me to teach.

Welcome to "D"! He has begun the fun piano lessons at Cindy's Piano Studio in Clinton, MO. "D" says he plans to practice "a lot"! Oh boy! I can't wait to see if he does it! "D" like to play the video game, Road Blocks; and he likes to do crafts. He said he wants to take piano "so I can be cool!" He taught himself how to play a little of Raining Tacos. So much fun waiting to be had!!

"ARC" created an interesting picture using a half rest as a hat, but he also included a quarter rest body, a 3/4 time signature (T.S.) and a repeat sign using eyes. Great job, "ARC"!

"M" is very creative in his drawing and music! Whole-d Man. Holden is a whole note which loves bass clefs. He loves to hunt trumpets and play piano. (The trumpet part is a joke!)

The rocking chair has a bass clef as the rocking part. Did you see the 4/4 News on the TV? Holden definitely likes bass clef signs as they are on the wall, the piano, and a bracket too! Amazing!

"M" Creates an Under Sea Sounds Music Art Masterpiece

"M" created a half note picture for you today. This one is called Under Sea Sounds. The sounds are being made by a submarine, a big old fish, a crab AND they all have half note eyes or antenna on top of the heads. "M" also included whole notes but they are not the main focus of this picture. The half notes are the stars today.

"H" Ode to Joy Duet with Me!

 

Yea! "H" has recorded a piano duet with me! Ode to Joy was done beautifully with curved hand position too! Good job "H". I wonder what she will do next? Piano lessons in Clinton, MO can be fun when my students practice. "H" is proof of this.

 "M" has created a comic book like music art and story for us. In number 1, a man robs a bank and gets chased by a cop. In number 2, the man gets stuck in concrete and gets caught. In number 3, the man gets arrested and is in jail.

Hello "M"! Welcome to Cindy's Piano Studio.  "M" says he wants to take piano lessons because he likes the sound of the piano. He especially likes Classical music like Beethoven and Mozart. "M" also enjoys playing basketball and archery. Besides playing piano, he plays trumpet in band. He likes jazz music too! I think we will have a lot of fun learning music at the piano.
